Mental Health Services: How to Leverage Sustainable Funding
If school administrators are asked about pressing student needs, increased mental health services is often the response. To build a truly sustainable, comprehensive, and responsive school-based mental health program, districts need the expertise and financing that a county health and human services agency can contribute. Participants will learn how to build the necessary partnerships with the county and leverage local, state, and federal resources available to help fund mental health services. Presenters will discuss what a comprehensive mental health program looks like, what funding streams are available to build and sustain services, and how this fits in LCFF planning and budgeting.
